What we check

  • File parses — flags corrupt or truncated files
  • Schema version — IFC2x3 / IFC4 / IFC4x3 detected
  • Project structure — presence of IfcProject, IfcSite, IfcBuilding, IfcBuildingStorey
  • Entity counts — walls, doors, beams, columns, slabs, etc.
  • GlobalId presence — required for downstream tools that link to elements
  • Duplicate GlobalIds — signals broken exports or bad merges
  • Georeferencing — IfcMapConversion or IfcSite lat/lon for GIS workflows

This tool checks IFC file structure. It is not a substitute for a full IFC certification audit or project-specific requirement validation.
