Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information through our payment processor (Stripe).

Model data: When you upload IFC files, we store the files and extracted data (geometry, element properties, spatial structure) on our servers. Custom attributes you create are also stored.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. We use this data to improve the product.

Log data: Our servers automatically record information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps of requests.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Bimvue platform
  • Process your transactions and manage your subscription
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers with full-disk encryption. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Database connections and internal services are restricted to localhost access only.

We implement role-based access control and row-level security at the database level to ensure strict tenant isolation. Your organization's data is never accessible to other organizations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or model data. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., Stripe for payments, email delivery services)
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government request
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object to processing of your personal information

Deleting your organization account will cascade-delete all associated data, including projects, models, and custom attributes.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on our website.
